ProTrans in Romulus/Detroit, MI is seeking a Forklift Materials Handler to load, unload, and move materials in a high-volume warehouse, supporting BMW.

You will operate forklift and handling equipment, verify shipments, complete PTI system documents, and ensure accurate labeling and safe procedures. A forklift certification and English literacy are required. This role emphasizes data analysis for truck loading and continuous warehouse improvements.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• Forklift certification required.
• Ability to read and write English; proficient in safety rules and procedures.

Mansioni

• Load and unload materials to/from pallets, racks, and shelves using forklift or manual handling equipment.
• Inspect items for identity, quantity and condition; segregate for special handling as needed.
• Complete receiving/shipping documents accurately with scan gun per ProTrans procedures.
• Identify shipments by labeling and marking with proper handling instructions.
• Coordinate transportation requirements and gather data for reports.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area; perform safety checks daily.
• Assist with continual improvement initiatives to enhance performance.
• Operate banding, taping, and sealing equipment as required.
