Job summary

Pro Trans International is hiring a Forklift Material Handler in Romulus, MI. The role loads, unloads, and moves materials within the center, cross dock, and trailers using forklift and manual methods.

The position requires following work orders, inspecting shipments, and ensuring accurate documentation. Shifts are Mon–Fri from 5pm to 1:30am, with a base pay of $19.00 per hour plus $1.00 shift differential, totaling $20.00/hour.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is desired.

Responsibilities

• Reads work orders or follows oral instructions to identify materials to move.
• Receives items for shipment and inspects for identity, quantity, and condition.
• Loads/unloads materials onto/from pallets and racks with forklift or manual handling.
• Operates banding, taping, and sealing equipment.
• Maintains safety procedures and contributes to continuous quality improvement.
