Job summary

Charles River Laboratories in Kansas is seeking a Technician II - Second Shift to support our Discovery and Safety Assessment work. The pay rate for this role is $21.50/hour, with schedule Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM. The technician will learn basic skills to conduct studies, ensure animal welfare, and support data collection and analysis. The position requires a high school diploma/GED and at least 6 months of lab experience; ALAT preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 6+ months animal lab/handling experience.
• ALAT certification preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Ensure humane care for all animals.
• Perform basic animal handling, housing, feeding, data collection.
• Collect, review, and verify data.
• Maintain instrumentation and equipment.
• Learn Clinical Pathology and Necropsy basics.
