Job summary

EMPath, a Boston-based nonprofit, invites applications for a Residential Assistant (Residential Mentor) at our shelter. This role focuses on facility operations and supportive environment creation, not direct caseload management.

You will help ensure a safe, welcoming space for residents and collaborate with a team dedicated to disruption of poverty. Qualifications include a compassionate attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and an associate degree as a plus.

Responsibilities

• Shelter Operations: maintain daily shelter functions and log attendance.
• Facility Management: assist with heating, meal setup, and maintaining a clean living space.
• Environmental Support: respond to resident needs and manage daily activities flow.
• Participant Engagement: support residents with housing applications and resource access.
• Community Facilitation: participate in meetings and lead or assist with mini-workshops.
