Job summary

Pacific Hospitality Group in Hawaii is seeking a friendly, guest-focused team member for a high-volume hospitality setting. You will greet guests, answer questions, suggest menu items and wines, and coordinate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure a memorable dining experience.

Must have strong English, basic math and computer skills, ability to multi-task and work under pressure, and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• High school education and relevant training and experience required.
• CPR and first aid training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain warm, hospitable guest relations in all guest contact.
• Greet all guests in a warm and enthusiastic manner.
• Answer questions and make suggestions regarding menu item selections, preparations of items, and cocktail and wine recommendations.
• Communicate menu selections to the culinary and beverage teams.
• Monitor guests to fulfill any additional requests and determine when the meal experience is at an end and the guests are ready for their bill.
• Compute bill, collect payment, and make change for guests as needed.
• Responds to all guest requests and informs guests of hotel services, features, room amenities, shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions.
• Ask for and confirm any future dining reservations.
• Respond to and resolve all guest requests, complaints, or questions in a courteous and timely manner.
• Thoroughly completes projects and assignments professionally with care.
• Report all items in need of repair to supervisor and maintain equipment used in work.
• Protect guest safety and well-being.
• Adjusts to high pressure conditions and is open to change.
• Assumes responsibility for personal growth and development.
• Conducts him/herself professionally at all times; sets standards for all.
• Expresses ideas clearly and effectively, and communicates with peers.
