Job summary

The Press Club Grill in Hawaii seeks a Swell Server (Part-Time) to deliver high-quality service to guests, take orders, and handle payments. You will be familiar with restaurant and room service operations, menus, and specials, ensuring courteous and efficient hospitality across all outlets.

You will also manage side-work, bus tables, operate the POS system, and maintain beverage levels while upselling items to guests. Flexibility for long hours and a strong guest focus are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; hotel experience preferred.
• Flexible with long hours.
• Able to stand during entire shift.
• Able to maneuver through dining area with full trays.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Be familiar with the restaurant and room service organization and job functions.
• Know menus and current specials in applicable outlets.
• Serve guests with food and beverage requirements courteously and efficiently.
• Pre-bus tables and clear soiled dishes after each course.
• Operate the POS system and handle cashiering tasks.
• Close checks and prepare end-of-shift paperwork.
• Follow opening/closing procedures and side-work per rotation.
• Keep tables and side stands stocked, tidy, and clean.
• Maintain beverages at appropriate levels.
• Break down trays and linen per established standards.
• Upsell food, beverages, and promotional items to guests.
• Receive and deliver food and beverage orders and collect payment.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
