Job summary

The Grandview Lake Placid, managed by Essex Hotel Management, is seeking a driven PM Server to deliver exceptional service during the evening shift. You will work closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure orders are delivered promptly and accurately.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, taking orders, recommending menu items, entering orders into the POS, serving, and addressing guest needs while maintaining a clean dining area and supporting opening/closing duties.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a server in a restaurant or hotel
• Excellent customer service with friendly demeanor
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment and multitask
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of food and beverage service and preparation
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and take their orders in a friendly and professional manner
• Provide menu recommendations and answer questions guests may have
• Enter orders accurately into the POS system and communicate them to the kitchen and bar staff
• Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and efficient manner
• Check on guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns
• Process payments and handle cash and credit card transactions
• Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including resetting tables and ensuring proper sanitation procedures are followed
• Assist with opening and closing duties as needed
