Job summary

ST MARYS COUNTY GOVERNMENT seeks a part-time coordinator to develop and oversee recreational, educational, and fitness programs for senior center participants. The role offers evening hours and remote/in-person options for events and classes.

The candidate will monitor program effectiveness, lead health-promotion activities, and help produce communications for newsletters and social media, while managing registrations and materials. CPR and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in activity therapy or related discipline; equivalent training/experience.
• Ability to operate AV equipment and use standard computer software.
• Strong knowledge of program planning and development for seniors.

Responsibilities

• Develops, recommends, and coordinates implementation of recreational, educational, and physical fitness programs for senior center participants.
• Monitors and evaluates effectiveness of programs in meeting goals and objectives.
• Plans and manages educational and personal development classes and events; outreaches to senior citizens.
