Job summary

Harford County Government in Bel Air, MD, seeks a Senior Center Coordinator to oversee a multipurpose senior activity center. You will plan, implement, and coordinate health, educational, recreational, and nutrition programs for older adults, reporting to the Senior Center Division Manager.

The role requires an AA degree plus one year in human services, or a high school diploma with two years of relevant experience, and a valid Class C license.

Qualifications

• AA degree in gerontology, psychology, recreation, or related field and 1 year in human services.
• High school diploma and 2 years in human services or public-facing customer service.
• Valid Class C driver’s license with no more than 3 points.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations of a senior activity center and coordinate activities.
• Publicize classes/events and assist with registration.
• Supervise front desk, kitchen, and volunteers; manage records and reports.
• Liaise with committees and other senior centers; provide coverage as needed.
