Job summary

Merrill Gardens is seeking a Senior Living Caregiver to support residents in our Oakland-area community. The role focuses on compassionate daily care, helping with activities of daily living, meals, and medication administration as permitted by state rules.

Qualifications

• Current caregiver training/certification as specified by state agency or the ability to obtain.
• CNA license or two years previous experience as a caregiver
• Ability to obtain first aid/CPR certification within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including dressing, bathing, meals, laundry and general care.
• Manage medication as allowed by the state and completing daily progress reports of services provided.
• Completes progress reports for Assisted Living & Garden House residents daily or more often if needed. (Chart by exception)

Education

CNA license or two years caregiver experience
