Merrill Gardens at Rockridge in Oakland, CA is seeking a Senior Living Caregiver for the Evening Shift to support residents with daily living activities, medication assistance as allowed by state guidelines, and daily progress reports. The role offers both full-time and part-time opportunities with strong benefits and growth potential.

Candidates should have a CNA license or two years of caregiver experience, and be willing to obtain CPR within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Current caregiver training/certification as specified by state agency or ability to obtain.
• CNA license or two years previous experience as a caregiver.
• Ability to obtain first aid/CPR certification within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including dressing, bathing, meals, laundry and general care.
• Manage medication as allowed by the state and complete daily progress reports of services provided.
• Complete progress reports for Assisted Living & Garden House residents daily or more often if needed.

Our Caregivers:

If you are someone with:

Actual pay rate within stated pay range is determined based on relevant factors in compliance with state and local wage laws. This range reflects what we reasonably expect to pay upon hire.

Physical Requirements:

This role involves frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 75 lbs), and assisting with resident care. Regular bending, reaching, and physical movement are required throughout the workday. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
