Job summary

Cascadia Health is seeking a Security Specialist to monitor and protect clients, staff, and facilities at the Portland metro centers with an evening shift. The role emphasizes calm, professional presence and trauma-informed practice.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and a DPSST unarmed security license, with willingness to obtain required credentials. Travel between centers and on-site at Plaza Health Center in SE Portland is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; DPSST unarmed security license required or ability to obtain.
• Experience with mental health or addiction populations preferred.
• Must be able to travel between Portland area locations and work flexible shifts.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to incidents across facilities in a professional, non-confrontational manner.
• Conduct regular safety checks and patrols to maintain a secure environment.
• Assist with de-escalation using trauma-informed practices to ensure respect and safety.
• Document safety concerns and incidents following established procedures.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to address potential risks and safety plans.
