Job summary

Pacific Science Center in Seattle, WA is seeking a Security Professional to protect staff, guests and facilities. The role serves as a visible deterrent to crime, assesses safety concerns, responds to incidents, and enforces policies to maintain a welcoming environment.

The position requires weekend and evening work, a 6:30am-12am swing, and ability to communicate clearly, document accurately, and provide exemplary customer service while maintaining professionalism.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Current first aid and CPR training and certifications (or within six months of hire).
• Ability to use cameras and related security equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform lock-ups at exhibit closing time and during events.
• Conduct interior and exterior patrols with attention to safety and security.
• Monitor security cameras and respond to emergencies.
• Provide exemplary customer service when assisting guests and staff.
• Assist guests with wayfinding and escorting as needed.
• Maintain security records through written documentation.
