Job summary

Ohio Support Services (OSS) is a regionally recognized contract security service firm providing customized security programs to various facilities. The Security Officer/Assistant Supervisor supports the Shift Supervisor, performs security duties, delivers excellent customer service, and ensures shift tasks meet site requirements.

The role emphasizes safety, documentation, teamwork, and adaptability to irregular hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.

• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends/holidays.
• Proficient with standard computer applications and email.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Shift Supervisor in ensuring all shift responsibilities and operational requirements are properly completed.
• Perform security duties across all assigned posts and locations as needed.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to incidents, emergencies, and security-related situations.
• Conduct transportation duties as assigned.
• Provide coverage for security posts and access control points, including Gate 1 Inbound and Outbound windows.
• Deliver excellent customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and guests.
• Monitor site activities while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and security standards.
• Prepare accurate reports, logs, and other documentation as required.
• Utilize computer systems and software applications to enter data, communicate via email, and perform daily administrative functions.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth shift operations.
• Maintain professional conduct, vigilance, diligence, and integrity at all times.
• Work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required to meet operational needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
