Job summary

Ohio Support Services is seeking a Security Officer to protect people, property, and assets across client locations in Columbus, Ohio. This weekend Senior Officer role includes shift oversight and armed security responsibilities as needed, with a Saturday to Wednesday schedule from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

You will lead fellow officers, maintain a high level of customer service, and work with local authorities when required.

Qualifications

• Previous security experience required.
• Supervisory or lead officer experience preferred.
• OPOTA and PISGS certifications as applicable for armed duties.
• Maintain required security licenses and de-escalation training.
• Excellent customer service and professional appearance.
• Authorized to work in the United States (E-Verify).

Responsibilities

• Provide a highly visible security presence to deter crime and ensure safety.
• Patrol assigned areas on foot and by vehicle; monitor access points.
• Respond to emergencies, alarms, and incidents; file reports.
• Lead weekend officers, oversee shifts, and coordinate coverage.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement and management during incidents.
• Maintain equipment readiness, including firearms when armed duties apply.
