Job summary

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center, part of Universal Health Services, is seeking a Security Officer to maintain the safety and security of the hospital. This part-time, weekend night position (7pm-7am) requires a Class D Security License and related certifications within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities include securing premises, assisting staff and visitors, and timely reporting. Candidates should have HS diploma, ability to handle stress, and relevant security experience in acute care.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED equivalent.
• Must be able to handle stressful situations.
• 1 year experience as a security officer or related position in an acute care setting.
• Certification for Safety and Security Procedures IAHSS training required within 90 days of hire.
• BLS within 90 days of hire.
• CPI within 90 days of hire.
• Class D Security License required.

Responsibilities

• Secures the premises from unauthorized entry.
• Provides support and assistance, both physical and psychological, to staff, patients, and visitors.
• Prepares and submits reports in an accurate and timely manner.
• Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required.
• Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.
