Job summary

Planned Companies in Jersey City, NJ is seeking friendly and professional Private Security Guards to provide routine patrols, gate house security, mobile patrol, fire watch and control room monitoring. The role requires a New Jersey SORA license, a clean driver’s license, and 2+ years of experience.

Strong observation, report writing, and communication skills are essential. Full-time position with Friday to Monday shifts (3pm–11pm).

Qualifications

SORA license and clean/valid driver’s license required.
2+ years of experience as a Security Officer or Guard.
Knowledge of local, regional, and state security/public safety guidelines.
Excellent surveillance and observation skills.
Experience with CCTV surveillance systems.
First Aid and Basic Life Saving (BLS) training.
Strong report writing and clear verbal communication skills.
A High School diploma is required.

Responsibilities

Routine security and safety patrol of property and structures.
Verify and track access credentials for residents, guests, vendors, and deliveries.
Ensure exits, doors, and windows are secure and functioning.
Monitor CCTV surveillance to identify disruptions or unlawful acts.
Respond to, investigate, and assess notifications and alarms.
Provide security-related assistance to residents, guests, and vendors.
Report uninvited guests and unlawful acts to authorities.
Submit daily surveillance and incident reports to management.
