Job summary

Planned Companies in Secaucus, NJ is seeking Private Security Guards for overnight shifts to patrol residential and commercial properties and perform gate house security, fire watch, and control room monitoring.

You will verify access credentials, monitor CCTV, and respond to alarms while maintaining calm, professional communication with residents and visitors. A NJ SORA license, 2+ years of experience, and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• New Jersey SORA license and a clean/valid driver’s license.
• 2+ years of experience as a Security Officer/Guard.
• Knowledge of local, regional, and state security and public safety guidelines.
• Excellent surveillance and observation skills.
• Experience with CCTV surveillance systems.
• Training in First Aid, Basic Life Saving (BLS) and self-defense.
• Strong report writing and clear verbal communication skills.
• A High School diploma is required.

Responsibilities

• Routine security and safety patrols of property and structures to deter incidents.
• Verify and track access credentials for residents, guests, vendors, and deliveries.
• Ensure exits, doors, and windows are secure and functioning at all times.
• Monitor surveillance cameras to identify disruptions or unlawful acts.
• Respond to, investigate, and assess alarms and notifications.
• Provide security-related assistance to residents, guests, and vendors in need.
• Report unlawful acts, suspicious items, and uninvited guests to authorities.
• Submit daily surveillance and incident reports to management.
