Job summary

The Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee is seeking a Security Officer to maintain a safe, secure environment for guests, associates, and assets through proactive patrols and vigilant monitoring. You will respond to incidents, inspect premises, and document findings with clear reports, while supporting emergency preparedness and guest service.

Candidates should remain calm under pressure, communicate professionally, and work evenings or overnight shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; experience in security, hospitality, guest services, military, law enforcement, or public safety preferred.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment and maintain professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for guests, associates, visitors, and hotel assets through proactive security measures and regular property patrols.
• Monitor and respond to security and safety incidents, including emergencies, suspicious activity, disturbances, injuries, and guest concerns.
• Conduct routine inspections of guest areas, public spaces, parking facilities, restricted areas, doors, locks, and life-safety equipment.
• Operate and monitor CCTV, alarms, access control systems, and other security equipment.
• Investigate incidents and document findings with accurate, detailed reports.
• Support emergency preparedness and response efforts, including fire alarms and evacuations.
• Provide exceptional guest service and operational support as needed.
