Job summary

Nebo Elementary School in Nebo, North Carolina is seeking a 2nd Shift Custodian (Part-time) to perform custodial duties across classrooms, restrooms, hallways and common areas.

Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, waxing floors, restocking supplies, cleaning windows, emptying trash, and occasional outdoor duties. Must secure buildings at shift end, follow safety rules, and hold a high school diploma; valid NC driver’s license preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Minimum 21 years of age.
• 3 years custodial experience preferred or equivalent.
• Valid North Carolina driver’s license.
• Drug and Alcohol Free Workplace policy applies.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps, mops, vacuums, strips, waxes and buffs floor surfaces.
• Cleans restroom areas and replenishes supplies and soap as necessary.
• Cleans windows, walls, woodwork, blinds and light fixtures.
• Empties trash receptacles; deposits recyclables in proper receptacles.
• Secures buildings at end of day; manages lights and temperature as appropriate.
