Qualifications

• A minimum of 6 months recent successful work experience. Previous experience involving the care and cleaning of buildings and facilities preferred.
• Knowledge of basic institutional cleaning methods, procedures, and techniques; Knowledge of cleaning materials, supplies, and equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; ability to follow district policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine cleaning and minor maintenance of assigned areas.
• Cleans classrooms and restrooms; vacuums, dusts, empties trash.
• Moves furniture and assists with events; maintains security.
• Reports needed repairs or safety hazards.
• Maintains equipment and cleans/maintains work area.
• Performs major cleaning with summer teams.
• Practices energy conservation.
