Job summary

Northshore School District 417 SUPPORT SERVICES in Bothell, WA seeks a Custodian to provide custodial services focused on health, cleanliness and safety at an assigned building site.

The role operates under a custodial supervisor and building administrator, performing routine cleaning, minor maintenance, and event setup while reporting hazards and maintaining equipment. A minimum of 6 months' experience is preferred, with knowledge of cleaning methods and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 6 months recent successful work experience. Previous experience involving the care and cleaning of buildings and facilities preferred.
• Knowledge of basic institutional cleaning methods, procedures, and techniques; Ability to accept assignments with minimal supervision; Ability to follow district policies and procedures; Ability to perform moderately heavy manual activities.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine cleaning and minor maintenance of assigned areas such as classrooms and restrooms.
• Moves furniture and assists with preparation for special events in the school.
• Maintains security of the building and reports safety hazards or needed repairs.
• Performs minor maintenance tasks (unclogging toilets, changing light bulbs) and cleans equipment.
• Participates in major cleaning during summer projects and promotes energy conservation.
