Job summary

Northshore School District 417 in Bothell, WA is seeking a Custodian for the 2:45–11:15 shift to maintain health, cleanliness and safety across a school site.

Under supervision, you will perform routine cleaning, minor maintenance, restroom sanitation, and assist with special events. A minimum of 6 months related experience is preferred; wage ranges from $30.51 to $35.37 per hour; FLSA non-exempt; SEBB benefits apply. This role requires lifting, climbing, and working around students and staff.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 6 months recent successful work experience.
• Previous experience involving the care and cleaning of buildings and facilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine cleaning and minor maintenance of assigned areas.
• Classrooms: cleans white boards, sinks, furniture; vacuums carpets; dusts; empties trash; and performs other cleaning duties.
• Restrooms: cleans and disinfects sinks, urinals, toilets and shower/locker areas; cleans chrome, mirrors, partitions; fills dispensers; empties trash; sweeps and mops floors; and performs other cleaning duties.
• Moves furniture and assists with preparation for special events in the school.
• Maintains security of building.
• Reports needed repairs, safety hazards, or other conditions that could affect school health, safety, security, or energy conservation.
• Helps co-workers when requested, if possible.
• Performs minor maintenance such as unplugging toilets and changing light bulbs.
• Cleans and maintains equipment in work area.
• Performs major, non-routine cleaning as part of summer cleaning teams.
• Practices energy conservation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
