Job summary

Gavin School District 37 is seeking a reliable Custodian to maintain district buildings and grounds, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and appearance across schools. You will perform routine cleaning, assisting with security, inventory, and repairs as directed by the Director of Facility Management.

The role requires flexibility to work when school is not in session, and will involve coordinating with night shift custodians and other staff to support events and daily operations in Ingleside, IL.

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois or Wisconsin driver’s license required.
• Experience in custodial field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Activates alarms and secures doors as directed.
• Cleans facilities, fixtures and surfaces according to schedule.
• Assist with maintenance and inventory control; report repairs.
• Support grounds maintenance and snow/ debris removal as needed.

Driver's license (IL/WI)

Custodial experience preferred
