Job summary

Scott County School District in Georgetown, Kentucky is seeking a Second Shift Custodian (B) to perform building maintenance and safety duties at Scott County High School.

Working 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM, you will clean boilers, supervise minor repairs, manage supplies, and ensure doors and lights are secured. Reporting to the Head Custodian, you will participate in snow removal and ongoing upkeep.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Aptitude for performing assigned duties.
• Ability to perform heavy physical labor (lifting 50 pounds).
• Board may approve alternatives.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and maintains boilers and major equipment.
• Supervises and participates in painting and general repairs to plumbing, electrical, carpentry and general mechanical areas.
• Replaces broken windows.
• Assists general mechanics in remodeling and renovation work.
• Maintains school grounds and assists in snow removal.
• Supervises and participates in cleaning and maintenance of the building.
• Maintains inventories of supplies and equipment.
• Ensures building security and safety, doors/windows off when appropriate.
