Job summary

ServingSchools is seeking a full-time evening custodian for Madawaska Middle/High School to perform general cleaning, maintenance and related duties across school facilities. The role includes movement of furniture, light maintenance tasks, and assisting in daily operations.

The ideal candidate will be able to work independently in a school environment, handle evening shifts, and respond to events and weather-related tasks. Pay range is $18.53–$23.77 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
• Previous experience in building and cleaning maintenance desirable.

Responsibilities

• Check and secure building at the beginning and end of shift.
• Clean rooms, hallways, restrooms, offices, and other areas per district standards.
• Sweep, mop, buff, strip, and wax floors.
• Clean rugs, carpets and windows.
• Set up and break down chairs, tables and equipment for meetings and events.
• Clear snow from entrances and walks and spread ice melting materials.
• Receive deliveries and assist in unloading and storing supplies.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned by supervisor.
