Job summary

Maine School Administrative District #75 (MSAD 75) in Topsham, ME, seeks a Custodian to maintain classrooms, common areas, and grounds after hours. You’ll ensure doors are secured, lights operated, and facilities are clean for students and staff.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, prior custodial or maintenance experience, dependable nature, physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and a Maine CHRC background check. Hourly pay ranges $26.41–$27.21.

Qualifications

• Prior custodial or maintenance experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills; work with students, staff and the public.
• Dependable and reliable.
• Physically able to perform the duties; lift up to 50 lbs.
• CHRC background check required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain assigned work areas in buildings and on grounds.
• Unlock/secure doors, control lights, check heat/vent, clean floors, trash, bathrooms.
• Set up and take down for events.
• Act as contact for groups using facilities after hours.
• Remove snow, salt, and sand walkways as needed.
• Hours and location may vary based on district needs.
• Other duties as assigned.
