Job summary

ServingSchools in Brunswick, ME, is seeking two full-time custodians for the 2:00pm–10:30pm shift and a split-shift 11:00am–7:30pm. Pay starts at $28.50 per hour after a six-month probation, with a $1.00 shift differential for post-2:00pm hours.

Positions require ensuring a safe, clean school environment and adherence to regulations. Responsibilities include maintenance of buildings, HVAC control for efficient operation, opening/closing duties, and reporting major repairs to the Director.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/equivalent preferred.
• Valid Maine Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of buildings and premises, including sidewalks, driveways and play areas.
• Regulate heat, ventilation, and air conditioning to provide appropriate temperatures and economical energy usage.
• Open/close school at start/end of day as assigned by supervisor.
• Move furniture and/or equipment as required for activities.
• Ensure walkways, driveways, parking areas and steps are clear and passable.
• Report major repairs needed to the Director.
• Maintain inventory of materials needed to complete duties.
• Conduct safety equipment tests and complete required regulatory training.
