Job summary

Hayden McFadden Elementary School in New Bedford, MA is seeking a Jr. Custodian to support daily school operations from 2 PM to 10 PM. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Attends to problems or complaints under the direction of the Principal/Senior Custodian.
• Assists in preparing school functions and activities and moves furniture and equipment.
• Maintains a clean, sanitary and safe environment in kitchen/cafeteria areas as directed.
• Assists with unloading supplies and equipment as determined by the School Department.
• Supports upkeep of heating and ventilation systems and general preventative maintenance.
• Assists in securing the building and notes areas needing special attention.
• Notifies supervisor of facilities or equipment needing repair.
• Performs routine and non-routine work as directed and maintains overall building cleanliness.
