Job summary

Upper Arlington City Schools is seeking a Custodian for the Hastings Middle School 2nd shift. The role is 8 hours per day, Monday–Friday, from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, on a 12-month schedule. The position pays hourly between $23.32 and $25.88, with potential shift differential options.

The successful candidate will perform general custodial duties, assist the head custodian, and support setup/teardown for events while maintaining a clean, safe environment for students, staff, and the community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of related custodial experience preferred.
• Any alternatives to qualifications may be considered by Supervisor/Board of Education.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of students and staff.
• Perform daily custodial tasks such as cleaning, trash removal, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, waxing, and upkeep of facilities.
• Assist head custodian with cleaning and maintenance during school operations and events.
• Help with setup and teardown for school and community events.
