Job summary

Burlington School District is seeking an energetic 2nd shift Custodian to maintain a clean, safe environment for students and staff in its district facilities. The role reports to the Director of Property Services and operates within the AFSCME union master agreement.

Starting date is immediate, with hours typically 2:30pm–11:00pm during the school year. The position offers health benefits and paid time off as part of the master agreement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Demonstrated aptitude and ability to meet responsibilities.
• Ability to use custodial equipment properly and safely.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and mop classrooms and corridors daily.
• Replenish classroom and restroom supplies for daily use.
• Maintain lavatories in clean sanitary condition; clean floors and fixtures.
• Clean windows inside and out and dust furniture.
• Assist in snow removal as directed and perform minor maintenance on equipment.
