Job summary

Oldham County Schools seeks a Custodian to maintain a clean, safe school facility in Goshen, Kentucky. The role requires an 8-hour workday under a 260-contract-day schedule, reporting to the School Plant Operator, with duties spanning cleaning, snow/shoveling, and routine maintenance.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma, valid driver's license, and willingness to perform physically demanding tasks.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Experience in plant maintenance preferred.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Push, pull or lift 40 pounds; kneel and reach above your head.

Responsibilities

• Keeps building and premises neat and clean according to the schedule prepared by the School Plant Operator.
• Shovels, plows and/or salts walks and steps as directed by the School Plant Operator.
• Sweeps classrooms, dusts furniture, and cleans chalkboards according to the schedule.
• Cleans corridors after school and during the day as scheduled.
• Disinfects toilet floors and cleans sanitary fixtures daily per schedule.
• Washes windows inside and out at least twice a year, or more as scheduled.
• Clears debris from roofs, gutters and downspouts as needed.
• Keeps all floors clean and in good condition.
• Reports major repairs needed to the School Plant Operator.
