Job summary

North Oldham HS is seeking a Custodian (Swing Shift) to maintain a clean and neat appearance of the assigned facility. The position follows the 260 contract days and 104 salary schedule, with an 8-hour workday, under the School Plant Operator's guidance.

Requirements include a high school diploma, prior plant maintenance experience preferred, and a valid driver's license. Duties include cleaning classrooms, corridors, and restrooms, as well as snow/ice management and minor maintenance reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in plant maintenance preferred.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Keeps building and premises neat and clean according to the work schedule.
• Shovels, plows, and sands walks as directed; assists with snow/ice control.
• Cleans classrooms, dusts furniture, and cleans chalkboards according to schedule.
• Cleans corridors after school and during the day as scheduled by the School Plant Operator.
• Disinfects toilet floors daily and cleans fixtures and drinking fountains.
• Washes interior/exterior windows at least twice yearly or as directed.
• Keeps floors clean and in good condition; reports major repairs promptly.
