Job summary

Michael Foods, Inc. is seeking a sanitation associate in Le Sueur, MN. The role supports the Grading sanitation team, cleaning the Sanovo Opti-600 grader, egg packers, washer, and related equipment. Work hours are 3:30pm–11:30pm on a rotating schedule with every other weekend.

Applicants should have a high school diploma (preferred) and basic math skills, with experience in food manufacturing or sanitation desirable. Training is provided for safety and certification needs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency (preferred).
• Food manufacturing or sanitation experience (desirable).
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, memos and short correspondence.
• Knowledge of food manufacturing/processing equipment.
• Basic math skills using units of measurement.
• Ability to communicate information clearly to team members.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sanitation of egg packing equipment and facilities.
• Operate CIP system to clean the accumulator.
• Clean floors, walls, conveyors, drains and related areas.
• Disassemble/reassemble equipment for cleaning.
• Document cleaning information in worksheets and sanitation schedule.
• Handle chemicals and titrate for proper concentration.
• Report food safety or quality issues to management.
• Maintain attendance in relation to production schedule.
