• Assist in directing the day-to-day nursing activities in accordance with rules, regulations, and guidelines.
• Participate in developing, maintaining, and updating written policies and procedures for nursing services.
• Ensure Nursing Service Procedures Manual is current and that staff comply with its procedures.
• Prepare reports and recommendations to the Director of Nursing Services as needed.
• Assist in coordinating nursing services with other resident services to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in facility surveys and discharge planning as required.
• Meet with nursing staff and support personnel to plan services, programs, and activities.
