Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Same Day Surgery at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, NJ. This full-time evening shift offers 37.5 hours per week with weekend/holiday rotation and a competitive hourly pay range of $49.28 to $67.04.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, safe medication administration, coordination with physicians, patient and family education, accurate EMR documentation, and active participation in rounds and team-based care to

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing or Multistate RN License with NJ endorsement.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
• Administer medications and treatments safely following evidence-based practice.
• Collaborate with physicians and providers for timely care decisions.
• Educate patients and families to support next steps in care.
• Document accurately in the EMR to ensure continuity and safety.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to coordinate care.
• Contribute to a collaborative team with shared accountability.
