Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Same Day Surgery unit at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, NJ. This full-time evening position offers 37.5 hours per week with a focus on high-quality patient care and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

The RN will perform assessments, administer evidence-based care, document in EPIC EMR, and educate patients and families while supporting ongoing professional growth and safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
• Prior patient care experience and comfort with EMR systems (EPIC).
• Minimum of 2 years of hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
• Provide safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands-on care.
• Collaborate with physicians and providers to support timely care decisions.
