Job summary

Homewood Living Plum Creek in Hanover, PA, is seeking an RN supervisor to monitor and coordinate care across shifts. You will supervise nursing staff, collaborate with physicians, and ensure accurate documentation and care planning for residents.

The role requires current RN licensure, 2–4 years of supervisory experience in geriatric long-term care, and strong leadership, communication, and emergency response skills.

Qualifications

• RN license in the state providing resident care.
• 2–4 years of supervisory experience in a geriatric long-term care facility.
• Compassion, understanding and empathy for older persons.
• Management ability including written/verbal communication, good judgment and coaching.

Responsibilities

• Treats resident, family and staff information as confidential.
• Ensure staffing to provide proper resident care; cover call-offs and reallocate staff as needed.
• Collaborate with attending physicians and oversee chart preparation for visits.
• Monitor resident health, communicate findings to physicians and coordinate follow-up.
• Document in medical records and update care plans as treatment changes.
• Oversee orientation of new nursing staff on the shift and ensure proper communication with families.
