Qualifications

• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to learn multiple tasks.
• Good judgement solving problems, making decisions and resolving disputes.
• Desire and ability to lead and manage associates across departments.
• College degree or equivalent preferred.
• National Registry of Food Safety Professionals accreditation or progress toward accreditation within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Foster a positive and inclusive environment to retain associates and customers.
• Ensure that all quality standards are met.
• Manage department operations in accordance with standard practices.
• Ensure the department's appearance and presentation are maintained.
• Hire, train and develop associates to meet department needs.
• Attain departmental financial objectives.
• Supervise performance of department associates.
• Role model outstanding friendly customer service.
• Use good judgement in delegation and follow-up for efficient performance.
• Maintain accurate records of production, shrink, sales and inventory.
• Meet physical requirements of the position, with or without accommodations.
• Provide recognition of accomplishments and constructive counseling.
• Ensure department associates are trained by certified trainers.
• Ensure policies and procedures are followed as outlined.
• Develop product knowledge in all areas of the department.
• Use RF unit as needed.
• Maintain effective schedules to meet production and customer service standards.
