Job summary

Portola Hotel is seeking a friendly part-time server for The Peter B’s Restaurant in Monterey, CA. You will greet guests, take orders, serve beverages (including alcohol with ID checks) and relay orders to the kitchen via the POS system.

The schedule is 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, 3–4 days per week, with a minimum of 6 months’ serving experience. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent – Required.
• California Food Handlers / ServSafe Certification – Required.
• State approved Certification Alcohol management – Required.

Responsibilities

• Serve guests following established service standards to positively impact the guest experience.
• Record guest orders and relay to the kitchen via the POS system.
• Serve beverages, including alcohol, verifying age with ID as required.
• Set and reset tables and maintain sanitation and cleanliness.
