Job summary

The Ground Market in Carlton, OR is seeking a Restaurant Manager to lead the afternoon and evening operations, focusing on front-of-house excellence and superb hospitality. You will coach the team, coordinate service with the kitchen, and ensure a welcoming guest experience in a busy, high-energy setting.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of leadership in restaurant, hospitality, or retail operations.
• Experience leading front-of-house teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills with accountability.
• Excellent hospitality instincts and a passion for creating exceptional guest experiences.
• Experience with cash handling, shift management, labor deployment, and operational decision-making.
• General wine knowledge with Willamette Valley familiarity is a plus.
• Bartending or beverage program knowledge is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead front-of-house operations during lunch and dinner, ensuring hospitality, efficient service, and strong team performance.
• Coordinate service flow between dining room and kitchen while coaching team members.
• Maintain high standards for cleanliness, food safety, and guest experience.
• Resolve guest concerns and make real-time operational decisions to ensure successful service.
• Foster a knowledgeable beverage program and coach staff on pairings and guest recommendations.
• Oversee nightly closing procedures, cash reconciliation, and end-of-day reporting.
