Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Massachusetts seeks a Respiratory Therapist to monitor and support patients on mechanical ventilation, perform gas analysis, and assist during intubations and procedures across two campuses.

The role requires NBRC RRT credential, MA license, and BLS; ICU or critical care experience preferred. The schedule includes 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, every other weekend and holidays, with a $10,000 sign-on bonus eligibility.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Respiratory Care required.
• NBRC RRT credential required for new hires.
• MA respiratory license active at start date.
• Current BLS or equivalent required; ACLS/PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and supports patients on mechanical ventilation.
• Assists physicians during intubations and bronchoscopies.
• Administers bronchodilator therapy and chest physiotherapy per protocol.
• Obtains arterial blood gases and monitors oxygenation.
