Job summary

The Arc Ocean County Chapter in New Jersey is seeking compassionate Residential Program Assistants to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities during evenings. You’ll help with routines, meals, personal care and daily tasks, enabling greater independence in a warm home setting.

Full-time and part-time positions with paid training, schedule 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, and opportunities for overtime. Join a team dedicated to patience, teamwork, and meaningful support.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Hold a valid New Jersey driver's license in good standing with no more than five points.
• Successfully complete background checks and onboarding requirements.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
• Demonstrate employment stability with previous employers.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with evening routines, meals, personal care, medication administration, housekeeping, laundry, and daily living activities.
• Keep residential settings clean, organized, and inviting.
• Encourage healthy routines and tasks completed independently.
• Honor personal preferences while building independence at home.
• Support hobbies, community participation, and personal goals.
• Accompany individuals to appointments and community outings; transport as needed.
• Follow individualized plans and document updates with the team.
