Zusammenfassung

The Arc of Ocean County is seeking compassionate Evening Residential Support Specialists to help adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the evenings. You’ll support daily routines, meals, personal care, and community participation to foster independence.

We offer both full-time and part-time roles with a schedule 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, paid training, shift differentials, and opportunities for overtime.

Qualifikationen

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Hold a valid New Jersey driver’s license in good standing with no more than five points.
• Successfully complete all required background checks, screenings, and onboarding requirements.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to work independently with professionalism, flexibility, and sound judgment.
• Demonstrate employment stability, including at least one year of longevity with a previous employer.

Aufgaben

• Assist individuals with evening routines, preparing meals, personal care, housekeeping, laundry, and activities of daily living.
• Keep residential settings clean, organized, and inviting.
• Encourage healthy routines and independence while honoring personal preferences.
• Support exploration of hobbies, community events, and interests reflecting individual goals.
• Develop positive relationships that foster confidence, dignity, and belonging.
• Accompany individuals to appointments, activities, and community outings; safely transport when assigned.
• Maintain accurate records, including daily service notes and medication records.
