Job summary

People Incorporated Mental Health Services seeks a full-time Mental Health Support Specialist for Heather Ridge-Oakdale, MN. The role supports clients in residential programs, documents in EHR, and maintains client safety through crisis intervention and de-escalation.

Qualifications

• GED or HS diploma required; pursuing a health/human services degree preferred.
• Enrollment in a health/human services degree program OR 1+ year of relevant experience.
• Certified peer specialist as per Minnesota statute may be required.
• Must meet regulatory unlicensed personnel requirements and pass required screenings.

Responsibilities

• Document interactions with clients in EHR and program systems with clear communication.
• Assist with medication administration following policies and procedures.
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation while prioritizing safety.
• Engage clients using person-centered approaches to support goals.
• Teach independent living skills and participate in on-call rotation.
• Attend mandatory team meetings and shift-based on-call coverage.
