Job summary

Partners For Community is seeking an Assistant House Coordinator to support the House Coordinator in delivering residential services to individuals with intellectual disabilities in a structured CT setting.

The role requires strong organizational skills, problem-solving, and the ability to communicate effectively with families, DDS staff, and care providers. A valid driver’s license and certification requirements must be met within three months of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Medication Certification through DDS, First Aid, CPR and PMT within 3 months of hire.
• Knowledge of DDS systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist Area House Coordinator with oversight of daily program operations for a housing program servicing individuals with intellectual disabilities.
• Must be able to exercise efficient problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• An ability to calmly respond to crisis and emergency situations.
• An ability to effectively communicate with internal and external providers (parents/guardians, DDS case management, residential and day program providers, nursing staff and other service providers).
• Capacity to advocate in the best interest of the individuals being served.
• Assist with staff scheduling and delegation of daily transportation assignments.
• Assist with the tracking and documenting of fiscal expenditure.
• Other duties as assigned.
