Job summary

UNC Health Wayne is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Med Surg Float Pool (7p–11p). The RN will assist providers, lead licensed and unlicensed staff, and deliver holistic nursing care per NC Board of Nursing standards.

Responsibilities include planning, documenting, and evaluating care, coordinating with the care team, and participating in performance improvement. This role is onsite and part-time with evening shifts at Wayne MED.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Ability to apply the nursing process appropriately.
• Proficient with EMR/Epic and able to learn new software rapidly.

Responsibilities

• Plan, provide, supervise and document professional nursing care.
• Individualize the care plan using nursing judgment.
• Collaborate with providers and teammates to ensure quality care.
• Follows regulatory guidelines and safety protocols.
• Mentor and guide other staff and participate in performance improvement.
