Qualifications

• MLS from an ALA-accredited program.
• Experience with library instruction and reference services.
• Proficiency with online databases and library catalogs.
• Ability to supervise staff and handle flexible hours.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead evening library instruction sessions on campus and at multiple Bellevue University locations.
• Develop and conduct workshops for faculty, staff and students at least twice a year.
• Maintain and update online Library Research tutorials.
• Provide general reference services via face-to-face, phone, email and virtual means.
• Assist users in navigating online databases and resources.
• Provide in-depth research assistance for faculty and staff projects.
• Engage students in the Research Assistance Program and assess communication methods.
• Create and maintain LibGuides.
• Share supervision of library services across day, evening and weekend hours.
• Compile accurate monthly statistics.
• Recommend materials for purchase and help maintain the reference collection.
• Participate in library displays, newsletter contributions, and stay current in the field.
