Job summary

New Day Recovery in Niles, OH is hiring a Resident Monitor to support our residential treatment program. This role involves supervising clients in early recovery, reinforcing expectations, and helping create a safe, structured environment.

The 2:00–10:00 p.m. shift provides an opportunity to support admissions, rounds, documentation, and activities while working with a team to maintain safety and promote progress.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old
• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ year experience in behavioral health, recovery, or residential care
• Ability to pass background check (BCI/FBI) and drug screen

Responsibilities

• Support client admissions, discharges, transfers, and orientations
• Provide client supervision and safety monitoring, including routine rounds
• Encourage client engagement through structured activities and positive interaction
• Complete accurate documentation (including daily activity notes)
• Conduct urine drug screens and breathalyzer testing in compliance with protocols
• Monitor client phone use and program compliance
• Provide client transportation using company vehicles (as assigned)
• Maintain a safe, structured environment, including lights-out and shift checks
