Job summary

New Day Recovery in Northeast Ohio seeks a Patient Healthcare Associate to support patients through recovery, assist with self-administration of medications, and monitor vital signs. The role also involves documenting accurately in electronic medical records and collaborating with the detox nursing team to ensure safe, empathetic care.

Ideal candidates hold a High School diploma, CPR/First Aid certification, and experience as STNA or nursing aide.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: Experience in medical field as STNA or nurse's aide preferred.
• Certification: CPR/First Aid certification required

Responsibilities

• Assist with self-administration of medication and monitor responses.
• Monitor vital signs and document measurements.
• Provide compassionate patient interaction and emotional support.
• Record patient information in electronic medical records.
• Assist in crisis de-escalation under detox nursing staff guidance.
• Light housekeeping to maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Collaborate with detox nurses and healthcare professionals.
• Participate in staff meetings and quality improvement discussions.
